Muhammad Lab| Simulations and Artificial Intelligence in Medical Physics (SAIMP) Lab

“Radiation for Life”

Introduction

Muhammad Lab specializes in the application of physics and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques in medicine particularly cancer treatment and diagnosis. The lab is in the Department of Physics, Charles E. Schmidt College of Science, Florida Atlantic University Boca Raton. Applications of physics in medicine, particularly to treat and diagnose cancer and the multi-disciplinary aspect of medical physics is a well-recognized field. This lab has initiated collaborations with academic research and clinical teams at several clinics including the University of Chicago, South Florida Proton Therapy Institute (SFPTI), GenesisCare Oncology, and Lynn Cancer Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital (LCI-BRRH).
